Whispers of the Village Ghost Tour

It is. Whispers of the Village is our all-ages tour, built around real Greenwich Village history and the kind of ghost stories that give you a chill without the nightmares. Curious kids, parents, and grandparents all tend to walk away happy.

We cover a little over a mile of flat city sidewalks at an easy pace, with frequent stops to tell stories and take photos. Most guests find it a comfortable evening stroll.

You'll hear about the burial ground hidden beneath Washington Square Park, the old elm that has watched over the neighborhood for centuries, the years Edgar Allan Poe spent living and writing in the Village, and the artists and writers who, by many accounts, never really left.

We walk rain or shine, and a little mist over the Village only makes it better. We'll only reach out about rescheduling if the weather turns genuinely unsafe.

Absolutely. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome to come along. We're happy to have them as long as they're comfortable walking with a group for 90 minutes.
