Fright Night for the Family

Plan a Kid-Friendly Halloween in San Antonio

Halloween doesn’t have to be just for the adults with its late-night costume parties and scary movies.

This time of the year is at its best when it’s spent with family. For those of you in the Alamo City with kids, we’ve got the best events and attractions for Halloween.

Children in Costume

Boo Zoo

The San Antonio Zoo is inviting the family out for this spooky day out. There are eight different zones full of activities, scavenger hunts, and trick or treating. Make sure to wear your costumes and join the adventure!

A Spooky Pumpkin

10-Acre Corn Maze

Trader’s Village is challenging the family to complete their most puzzling and massive corn mazes. There are also games, a pumpkin patch, and a petting zone to fill your day with enough fun and excitement to last all Halloween.

A Little Witch

Spook-track-ula and Trick R’ Treat Special

Texas Transportation is putting on a fun trick-or-trick extravaganza with costume contests, scavenger hunts, and treats of all kinds. At night, the museum itself opens up and comes to life. We think that part might be a bit too much for the kids, though.

Family with Costumes

Trick-or-Treat at the Museum

The San Antonio Art Museum is hosting a trick-or-treat event. This is for the whole family to dress up, get some candy, and explore the gallery. Remember, nothing is spookier than a chocolate fingerprint on a priceless painting - so remember to keep an eye on everyone.
