The Love Gone Wrong Ghost Tour in Savannah Georgia
Join us for an evening of Ghosts, Murderous Lovers, and Love Gone Wrong

Oh, Valentine's Day. Love it or hate it, it's just around the corner. And like any other annual event, we know exactly what to expect; chocolates, gifts, valentines - same old same old. It's all lovey-dovey, red roses, and lace.

But in New Orleans, love, romance, and heart-shaped boxes of chocolate aren’t always the ingredients for a happily ever after.

So, to keep things real, we like to explore the darker side of love. And there’s no better holiday for some twisted romance stories than Valentine’s Day.

Why is the Love Gone Wrong Tour soo popular?

Forget romance; embrace the macabre! Our New Orleans Love Gone Wrong Ghost Tour will take you to the darkest corners of the Big Easy for a look into the most dangerous love stories in the city.

New Orleans has a certain je ne sais quoi. The City can make you feel inebriated - maybe even a little possessed. Or possessive.

For centuries, New Orleans has been the home of scandals, clandestine affairs, and, well, some pretty gruesome events. Some downright sickening. The City really gives new meaning to the phrase, “love you to pieces.”

The truth is, New Orleans is home to many crimes of passion. Maybe it’s the humidity. Or the unmistakable aromas in the historic French Quarter. Who knows?… But what we do know is that New Orleans was our first choice for our Exclusive Valentine's Day Ghost Tour.

The Dangers of Love in New Orleans

the most disturbing tale of long gone wrong in New Orleans

Of all the destined-to-death relationships the French Quarter has seen, Zach and Addie’s is by far the most grisly. A love born in the steaming humidity of the Vieux Carré post-Katrina.

Zach had PTSD from his time in the military. Addie was a struggling artist. Both had some dark forces they were grappling with. But they were in love - even if it was a tainted love.

They were drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Zach was popular with the ladies, pretending he was a one-woman man, yet he’d often scheme and cheat on Addie. Addie had been burned before, and she wasn’t about to let it happen again.

She went behind her boyfriend’s back and attempted to secure her future. But Zach found out and was crushed by her deception. Broken, disturbed, and enraged, Zach decided that he had to kill her.

What followed was a nauseating display of changed demeanor, lies, and chilling discoveries. A twisted tale of necrophilia, dismemberment, and cannibalistic cookery - Zach and Addie’s story will make you wish you were single.

Nearly two weeks after the gruesome killing, Zach jumped off the 7th floor of the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. Many say his spirit is still there, contemplating his evil actions.

The Zach and Addie twisted romance is a story so heinous and disturbing; it’s one of New Orleans’ darkest tales of Love Gone Wrong Ghost Tour. It’s no surprise it left lingering energies and hauntings in New Orleans’ Historic French Quarter.

Murderous Husbands and Haunted Crimescenes

you'll find both on this ghost tour

Another grim tale of love and dismemberment comes to us straight from the Roaring Twenties, an exceptionally violent display commonly known as the Steamer Trunk Murders.

After discovering his wife’s infidelity, Henry Moity murdered his wife and his sister-in-law in a cold and calculated fit of rage. He stuffed both of their bodies into steamer trunks and fled New Orleans.

The next morning, the bloody scene was discovered by the family’s cleaning lady, who immediately knew who the murderous culprit was. A manhunt ensued, and Henry Moity became the infamous Steamer Trunk Killer.

For the rest of his life, Moity insisted that he loved his wife, even after cutting her to pieces. As for her lover, Joe Caruso, Moity swore that if he ever got his hands on the man, he’d turn him into sausages.

While in New Orleans, you might hear the legend of the sausage ghost. As the story goes, a butcher killed his wife and turned her into sausages he then sold in his shop. Many believe that the sausage ghost legend was born from the Steamer Trunk Murders.

The New Orleans Steamer Trunk Murders, and other ghastly stories of romance gone mad are all featured on our Valentine's Day Exclusive Love Gone Wrong Ghost Tour.
